Reverse Osmosis is the reverse process of osmosis and is driven by pressure.
Pressure is applied to the feed water, when the pressure is higher than osmotic pressure, the solvent will reverse permeate against the natural penetration direction. Thus the penetrant water will be achieved at the lower membrane side and the concentrated solution will be achieved at the higher pressure side.
The RO system normally consists of security filter, high-pressure pump, RO membrane, membrane wall, automatic valve, operating system and monitoring device. The penetrant water is product water directly, and the conductivity is usually < 10μS /cm
